The Michigan law your Detroit buyers answer to

Michigan breach notification law (Mich. Comp. Laws §§ 445.63, .72)

After a breach, companies must notify affected Michigan residents without unreasonable delay. Private companies have no attorney general notice requirement.

Why it matters for outreach: a question about the buyer’s Michigan breach-notice obligations is more specific, and more local, than a general security pitch.

The competition for Detroit attention

The metro has 1,766 computer systems design and related firms, 633 of them classified as computer systems design. They are calling the same IT managers you are.

What wins: local detail. Mention Oakland County or a Detroit sector so the buyer can tell the message is about them.
